If you love tomatoes, you will love this! This dish is called “Tostadas con Tomate” in Spain and locals eat it often for breakfast or as an appetizer. All you need is a few simple ingredients and a blender or kitchen aid.
4 ripe tomatoes
1 clove of garlic
1-2 table spoons olive oil
salt to taste
pinch of chili flakes
whole grain bread
Blend all the ingredients raw in a kitchen aid or blender. Put the finished salsa in a bowl and toast real whole grain bread – we used whole grain bread with walnuts and raisins.
To eat, simply put a few spoons of this delicious spread on your toast, and add some more olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste.
For this recipe it’s important to pick the right tomatoes. The more flavor the tomatoes have the better this dish will be!
